Upcoming events:

LGBT Equality & Justice Day

On April 29 hundreds of LGBT New Yorkers and our allies will be traveling to Albany to lobby our elected officials on key issues such as marriage equality, equal protections for transgender New Yorkers and safe schools for LGBT youth. This is the one day of the year that we demonstrate to state lawmakers the power of our community. Sign up for Equality & Justice Day as a member of OffSprung! and travel with dozens of other young professionals who are helping to make New York a better place.

Don’t worry if you’ve never lobbied a legislator. We will provide you with the training you need. For some of you, going to Albany means that you have take a day off from work, and that isn’t always easy. But that one day can make a world of difference in passing crucial legislation for LGBT New Yorkers: last year, less than two months after we brought 1100 people to Albany, the New York State Assembly passed the marriage bill. They heard from us, and they acted. This year will be even bigger--and you'll have the chance to meet great people from all around the state.
