Development Assistant

The Empire State Pride Agenda is New York’s statewide lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights and advocacy organization. Job Description:

The Development Assistant will report to and work closely with Director of Development, providing a variety of support functions that contribute to the Pride Agenda’s fundraising success.  Development responsibilities include database maintenance, gift processing, generating reports, producing mailings to donors, including gift acknowledgments and pledge reminders.  The Development Assistant will also manage the Pride Agenda’s volunteer program and will work with colleagues to execute 3-4 annual community events focusing on engagement of important constituencies, like young professionals, women and the transgender community.

The Development Assistant will also provide general development support to help meet departmental and organizational goals.

Special Events and Development Intern

Position Summary:
The Special Events and Development Intern(s) will assist Development and other staff with event planning; execution, research, and outreach on online social networks; and other fundraising projects as needed. Intern(s) will work closely with the Pride Agenda's Development team. Positions are available for the Spring term (January-May) term, with some flexibility on the length of the internship.

Communications Intern

Position Summary:
The Communications Intern will assist the Communications Department and other staff with drafting content for the website and publications, proofreading, internet research, updating online properties (website, social networks, blog), compiling press clips and other communications projects as needed. We’re looking for a driven self-starter who takes direction, but is up for playing a strong role on our team!

This is a part-time, unpaid internship. School credit is available. The schedule is flexible during regular business hours with some evening and weekend events.
