The Pride Agenda periodically performs statistical analyses of aggregate user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of various areas on our website and to use such information to improve on our website's ability to serve you better.
Cookies: Our website uses "cookies" only in the Pride Agenda Action Center, which is powered by GetActive, a provider of online constituent relationship management services used by many LGBT and like-minded organizations around the country. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on a user’s hard drive but does not itself contain any personal information. Cookies enhance a user experience by saving the user from having to log in or provide information each time he or she re-visits the Pride Agenda Action Center and by customizing content based on a user's interests.
Our Action Center recognizes you in two ways. One way is by cookies, but only if you opt to enable the "Remember Me" checkbox in our Action Center. When you check this box, our Action Center gives you a cookie and remembers you the next time you visit by pre-populating fields with your contact information and calling up your elected officials so you can quickly take action. The second way our Action Center recognizes you is through the use of personalized links. Emails the Pride Agenda sends you through the GetActive email messaging system contain "personalized links" - links to our advocacy campaigns that have a unique string of characters appended to them that is personalized for each member - so that your contact information is pre-populated in the fields of that particular advocacy campaign.
Anyone using the Pride Agenda Action center always has the option of configuring his or her browser to be alerted when the site is attempting to send a cookie and refuse the cookie. The Pride Agenda’s website tracks user activity and click-through behavior and uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the website, track user movement and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Disclosure Requirements for information gathered when you contribute to the Empire State Pride Agenda, Inc. PAC:
The Empire State Pride Agenda, Inc. PAC is registered with the New York State Board of Elections (Board of Elections) and discloses some contact and contribution information to this authority on a periodic basis. The Board of Elections requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, dollar amount and form of payment for contributions to the PAC.

You will receive email newsletters from us if you have: a) signed up for a newsletter at a Pride Agenda event or on our website; b) used our online Action Center to take action on one of our advocacy campaigns; or supported the Pride Agenda’s work through a donation.
The information we gather from subscribers to our email newsletters (including email addresses) is not shared with other organizations or parties. From time to time when we play a leading role in another organization’s event or if the subject matter is important for you to know about, we may send out emails on behalf of this like-minded organization, but we do not provide them with access to any personal information that you have provided.
In order to provide you with better and more relevant information, we compile information about email response and website usage. This information helps us to better understand our members' site usage patterns and also what types of content and information may help improve your user experience on the Pride Agenda website.
All emails sent contain a link to unsubscribe or to modify your profile. You may subscribe or unsubscribe to any newsletter or e-mail communication from the Pride Agenda at any time.
How we track HTML newsletters:
We make use of both "open-tracking" and "click-tracking" in our HTML newsletters (i.e. emails that contain text and images). Open-tracking allows us to find out how many people have viewed our email newsletters and click-tracking allows us to find out which links in the newsletter were clicked on. This helps us to refine and improve the editorial content of our newsletters, and to provide you with relevant information.
"HTML-sensing" is used to determine if your email client supports HTML-based emails. This is employed only if you request our system to detect whether you can receive HTML emails.
If you have any questions, please email: InfoUpdate@prideagenda.org.
