Join us for Equality & Justice Day on Monday, May 9 where over 1,000 supporters of LGBT equality and justice will meet, rally and speak to our elected officials about marriage, transgender civil rights and addressing LGBT health disparities! We need Albany to see us more than once this year because marriage equality, transgender civil rights and funding for local organizations providing LGBT health and human services all matter!
Earn a spot on the 2011 Advocacy Hall of Fame by attending our Equality and Justice Day plus meeting at least one more time this year with your legislator. That could be in-district or in conjunction with Marriage Equality New York, Interfaith Impact, your Union’s Lobby Day (if that includes marriage or GENDA), Housing Works GENDA lobby day or with other groups that highlight marriage equality and transgender civil rights. By meeting your legislator in person twice this year, you can earn a spot in our 2011 Advocacy Hall of Fame where your name will be highlighted on our website as an Advocacy All-Star.
Marriage Equality New York has also agreed to publicize an Honor Roll of constituents who attend Marriage Equality Day plus Equality & Justice Day this year.
