Communications Director
Josh Meltzer is the Communications Director at the Empire State Pride Agenda, joining the organization in June 2006. His duties include media relations, development and production of the Pride Agenda’s communications and marketing materials and development of new media communications strategies.
Prior to joining the Pride Agenda, Josh was a Senior Account Executive at Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Communications, a New York City-based financial and professional services public relations firm. He also spent a year as an account assistant in the Los Angeles office of GMMB, a public policy and issues advocacy communications firm. Additionally, Josh spent the summer of 2001 as an intern for the United States Commercial Service at the US Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Josh graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a minor in International Relations. He spent the 2002-03 academic year on a Fulbright research fellowship at the University of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland, studying the impact and role of small states in the European Union. Josh also completed a Masters of Arts in European Politics at Lund University in Sweden in 2005.
